Listening with my heart as well as my ears, I have been offering family mediation services in Pasadena since 2006. I went to law school to become a family mediator, got sidetracked and graduated into a traditional legal career, took a detour through public schools, and finally decided, "Now is the time." That was in 2001. Now I accept referrals for all aspects of family mediation, including divorce mediation, parenting & custody mediation, limited scope mediation (1 issue, 1 or 2 visits), elder / adult family mediation, family business mediation, LGBTQ mediation, coaching for conflict resolution, and mediation to maintain important personal relationships. I offer distance mediation (phone or video mediation) as needed. When "shift happens," people who have been hurt, angry, defensive, devious, etc. suddenly stop "talking at" each other and shift into really listening and brainstorming for solutions.
