Professional mediator since 1977 primarily in family and divorce matters having mediated more than 2500 cases. Leader in the field having invented with partner, Steve Erickson, parenting plans and child support plans in divorce and post divorce and unmarried parent matters in the 1980s. Has co-authored five books on mediation with partner, Steve Erickson. Has co-trained mediators since 1981 in the US, Canada, Netherlands and Singapore. Served as president of two national mediation organizations, The Academy of Family Mediators and the Association for Conflict Resolution, and two MN mediation organizations, the Minnesota Council of Family Mediators and Cooperative Solutions. Primary mediation process is client-centered as described in the latest book, The Practitioner's Guide to Mediation: A Client-Centered Approach.
