Jay M. Bultz is an Attorney, Mediator and Arbitrator practicing as Bultz Law Offices, PA which offers legal services in the areas of litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Although his work has covered most areas of the law, he currently practices primarily in family law and probate law. He is a licensed attorney in the State of South Carolina in both state and federal courts. He is certified through the South Carolina Supreme Court as a mediator in family and circuit courts and as an arbitrator in circuit court. He is also certified through the United States District Court - District of South Carolina, as a mediator in federal court and through the Council of Better Business Bureaus as an arbitrator in the BBB Auto Line Program. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, an Advanced Practitioner Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, a Member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, a Member of the Academy of Professional Mediators, a Member of the South Carolina Collaborative Law Institute, and a Member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Mr. Bultz received a Juris Doctorate Degree, 1984, from the Loyola University School of Law, New Orleans, Louisiana, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism, 1976, from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina, and a Diploma, 1972, from the Myrtle Beach High School, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He is past Chairman of the Myrtle Beach Downtown Redevelopment Corporation which most notably was instrumental in the design, construction and completion of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, and is currently President of the Myrtle Beach Downtown Public Art Initiative, dedicated to the implementation of a public art program for Myrtle Beach. Mr. Bultz has taught and lectured numerous times on subjects in family law, probate law and alternative resolution through the local community college and the state and local bar associations.
