The purpose of this listserv is to make it easy for members of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators (APFM) to confer with each other even though we are scattered across North America. We will discuss matters such as how to be helpful to clients who present unusually difficult challenges, how to educate the public about when they should seek a mediator, and what, given the constraints of ethics and laws, we can and cannot do as we facilitate family negotiations. Mediators help families make decisions about co-parenting, marriage, divorce, elder care, etc.
